Police Investigate Death of Falls Church-area Woman

Mason Police District – Officers responded to check on the welfare of a person in a home located in the 6900 block of Westmoreland Road, Falls Church at around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18. No one answered the door and there was nothing that appeared out of the ordinary at that time. Later in the day, officers returned to the home with a homeowner, and entered the residence. They found a woman, believed to be in her mid-20’s, deceased.

There were multiple people living in the home; the victim rented one of the rooms.

Detectives believe the victim died of trauma but an autopsy conducted by the Office of the Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.

Detectives ask the public’s assistance with helping locate a vehicle that may be related to this crime. A 2004 Gold Mercedes, four-door sedan, Virginia tag WVF-8414, is unaccounted for. It is missing from the area. Presently, the precise model of the vehicle is unknown. Anyone with information on this vehicle, or the incident, is asked to contact police. The investigation is continuing.
