ALCOHOL ENFORCEMENT

There will be a SOBRIETY CHECKPOINT Friday night, August 7, in the Mason Police District.

SULLY DISTRICT STATION

LARCENY/CONCEALED WEAPON, 5100 block of Castle Harbor Way, 08/01/15 at about 5:45 a.m. Officers responded for a report of vehicle tampering in progress. Two male juveniles were detained. One of the juveniles, a 17-year-old male from the Centreville area, was charged with grand larceny of a firearm and concealed weapon.

LARCENY/POSSESSION OF FIREARM BY FELON, 14900 block of Rydell Road, 08/01/15 at about 8:50 a.m. Officers responded for a report of possible shots fired and a man holding a handgun. Officers located the suspect and arrested him. Jacob P. Cover, 26, of no fixed address, was charged with grand larcerny of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and violation of a protective order.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

6300 block of Richmond Highway, merchandise from business.

6300 block of Richmond Highway, purse from vehicle.

7900 block of Richmond Highway, wallet from business.

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

ILLEGAL FILMING WITH APPREHENSION, 1900 block of Chain Bridge Road, 08/03/15, at about 3:45 p.m. Officers responded for a report of a man that was allegedly taking pictures of victims’ lower body areas in a shopping center. Officers located the suspect and arrested him. Richard Nelson Hunter II, 28, of Manassas, was charged with nonconsensual filming.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, 5800 block of Leesburg Pike, 08/04/15, at about 5:18 a.m. The victim was walking through the parking lot of a shopping center and was approached by two men and a woman. The suspects assaulted the victim, took property and fled. Officers located two of the suspects and arrested them. James A. Jackson, 32, of Falls Church and Byron J. Givens, 31, of Manassas, were charged with robbery.

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 11400 block of Great Meadow Drive, 08/04/15. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

2500 block of Fox Hound Court, 2007 Toyota RAV4.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES: 

6500 block of Loisdale Court, property from business.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES:

6000 block of Burke Commons Road, merchandise from business.

7600 block of Fullerton Road, license plate from vehicle.

8000 block of Rolling Road, wallet from business.

STOLEN VEHICLES: 

8300 block of Moline Place, 1998 Oldsmobile Cutlass. 

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES: 

4400 block of Altura Court, electronic equipment from vehicle.
