ALCOHOL ENFORCEMENT

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE WITH APPREHENSION, 6000 block of Richmond Highway, 08/05/15 at about 4:50 a.m. Officers responded for a report of vehicle tampering in progress. Officers arrested the suspect after a brief foot pursuit. Calvin D. Simmons, 27, of Washington D.C., was charged with two counts of destruction of property, larceny, trespassing, and possession of schedule III drugs.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY, Seminary Road/South George Mason Drive, 08/05/15, at about 11:47 p.m. The victim was walking and was approached by a man. The suspect assaulted the victim, took property and fled. The victim was transported to a local hospital and incurred non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was described as black, 20s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, 180 to 200 pounds, and wearing a brown T-shirt and blue jeans.

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

RECKLESS DISCHARGE: 2200 Corporate Park Drive, 08/05/15. An employee reported damage and several holes to the front of a building that appeared to be gunshots. It is unknown where the shots came from and no injuries were reported.
