CHECKPOINT, Fairfax County Parkway near Spring Street, 08/15/15. Officers conducted a DWI Checkpoint for drunk drivers, no DWI arrests were made and four summonses were issued.
DIRECTED PATROL, 08/15/15. Officers from the Franconia Police District patrolled the county for drunk drivers. One driver was charged with DWI and thirty-nine summonses were issued.
ROBBERY, Saint Germain Drive near Golden Oak Road, 08/16/15, 5:45 p.m. The two victims were walking and were approached by two men. The suspects assaulted the victims, attempted to take property and fled. The victims incurred non-life threatening injuries and were treated at the scene. The first suspect was described as black, 20s, 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall, 140 -160 pounds and wearing a gray t-shirt. The second suspect was described as black, 20s, 5 feet 9 inches tall to 5 feet 10 inches tall, 150 pounds, short curly hair and wearing black pants and striped T-shirt.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY WITH APPREHENSION, 1600 block of International Drive, 08/16/15, at about 1:35 p.m. The victim was walking and was approached by a man. The man engaged the victim in conversation, then assaulted the victim and attempted to take property. The suspect fled but was apprehended by responding officers. Charles Armstrong, 20, of Temple Hills, Maryland, was charged with malicious bodily injury and carrying a concealed weapon.
BURGLARY, 6500 block of Georgetown Pike, 08/15/15. School Security Officers were alerted to an alarm at Langley High School. Responding officers located an adult male and three juvenile males and arrested them. Colton J. Mahowald, 18, of McLean, was charged with burglary. Petitions are pending for two 17 year-old male juveniles from the Great Falls area and for a 16 year-old male juvenile from the McLean area.

ASSAULT, 13000 block of Fair Lakes Shopping Center, 08/14/15, at about 8:35 p.m. The victim was driving behind a green-colored Volkswagen sedan in the parking lot of the Walmart. The victim alleged the driver of the Volkswagen discharged pepper spray at his vehicle and struck him as his window was rolled down as he pulled along side. The suspect drove away and was described as a white male, 30s, wearing a red and green collar-shirt with stripes. The victim incurred non-life threatening injuries.
TRAFFIC PURSUIT WITH APPREHENSION, Stringfellow Road/Lee Jackson Memorial Highway, 08/15/15 at about 2:28 a.m. Officers were called for a report of a man asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle with the engine running on the roadway. The man awoke when officers made contact with him and drove off. The man did not yield to officer’s signal to stop and attempted to elude officers. After a brief pursuit, the vehicle came to a stop and the driver was arrested. Jason P. Sengstack, 29, of Centreville, was charged with DWI; fail to stop for police, and refusal of blood/breath test.
BURGLARY, 13800 block of Metrotech Drive, 08/14/15. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.
