The Daily Police Blotter for August 18, 2015

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, Mount Woodley Place/Sherwood Hall Lane, 08/15/15 at about 10:11 p.m. The victim was walking and was approached by a man. The suspect assaulted the victim and attempted to take property from the victim prior to fleeing on foot. The victim incurred non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was described as a white male in his late teens, wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.

ROBBERY, Frye Road near Richmond Highway, 08/17/15 at about 3:30 a.m. The victim was walking and was approached by of a group of five to seven men. The suspects assaulted the victim, took cash and property and fled. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspects were described as Hispanic or black males in their 20s.

SEX OFFENSE, 7200 block of Arlington Boulevard, 08/14/15 at about 2 a.m. The victim was outside of the 7-11 store and was approached by an employee. The employee inappropriately touched the victim. The victim ran and reported it to police. The suspect was described as a male of unknown race, bald and about 50 years of age.

PEEPING, 2100 block of Centreville Road, 08/14/15 at about 8 p.m. The victim was in the dressing room of the Kohl’s store. A man looked into her dressing room by lying on the floor. The victim yelled and the suspect fled. The suspect was described as Hispanic, 20s, dark hair and wearing a pink striped collared shirt. 

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2100 block of Salt Kettle Way, 08/18/15 at about 1 p.m. The 17-year-old victim was walking along the path between Salt Kettle Way and Ridge Heights Drive and saw an adult male completely nude, with his hands near his groin area. The victim ran and the suspect fled prior to police arrival. Officers checked the area with assistance from the helicopter, but the suspect was not located. The suspect was described as a white male, pale skin, a lean build, between 40 to 50 years of age and gray hair.


AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, 6200 block of Villa Street, 08/16/15 at about 12:35 a.m. The two victims encountered a man and a conversation escalated to an argument. The suspect assaulted both victims and fled. Responding officers located the suspect with the assistance of a K9 unit. The suspect incurred a bite from the K9 dog and was treated for a non-life-threatening injury. Delonte A, Wright, 32, of Washington D.C., was charged with malicious bodily injury, assault, resisting arrest, and obstruction of justice.

ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT, Richmond Highway/Buckman Road, 08/14/15 at about 7:05 p.m. An officer was transporting a resident in need of services to a local hospital on a Temporary Detention Order (TDO). The man became aggressive and began to harm himself by banging his head on the window of the cruiser. After refusing the officer’s verbal commands to stop, the subject then attempted to slip out of his restraints. The officer pulled over on the side of the road and attempted to restrain the subject to prevent him from further harming himself. At this point, an off-duty officer driving on Richmond Highway saw the on-duty officer on the side of the road and pulled over to assist him. The subject assaulted the on-duty officer but together, both officers were able to reapply restraints successfully to the subject. There were no charges placed on the subject and he was transported to a local hospital. The officer was not injured during the incident.

ROBBERY, 13300 block of Franklin Farm Road, 08/15/15 at about 10:31 p.m. A man entered the Sunoco gas station, displayed a handgun to an employee and demanded money. The suspect took cash and merchandise and fled. The victim did not require medical attention. The suspect was described as male of unknown race, between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, 155 to 180 pounds and wearing a full face mask, black jacket, black pants and gloves.

ROBBERY, 3000 block of Centreville Road, 08/16/15, at about 11:03 p.m. A man entered the Vocellis Pizza, displayed a handgun to an employee and demanded money. The suspect took cash and fled. The victim did not require medical attention. The suspect was described as Hispanic, between 17 to 20 years of age, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, 145 pounds, wearing all black clothing, a black ski mask covering his face and black gloves.
