UNLAWFUL ENTRY/LARCENY, 8800 block of Badger Drive, 08/16/15. A resident reported property was taken from the residence during day time.

TRESPASSING: 6500 block of Fairlawn Drive, 08/18/15 at about 9:28 a.m. A property manager reported a previous homeowner had entered the residence after being evicted. The suspect was found inside the home and arrested. Mahboubeh Shariati, 60, of Mclean, was charged with trespassing.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: 6100 block of Knollwood Drive, 08/17/15 at about 11:06 p.m. A man was approached by two juveniles who demanded his money. The victim ran away and the juveniles displayed what appeared to be a gun. The victim was struck by pellets in the buttocks. One of the juveniles was located and charged with attempted robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: 6000 block of Belleview Drive, 08/17/15 at about 7:18 p.m. The victim was approached by a man, displayed a knife and demanded money. The victim did not relinquish any property and the suspect fled. With assistance from some residents, the suspect was located and arrested. Osvin Manuel Asencio Cortez, 26, of Falls Church, was charged with robbery.

ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT, 3300 block of Woodburn Road, 08/18/15 at about 9:40 a.m. Officers were called to the Woodburn Crisis Center for a report of an aggressive patient that was threatening staff and other patients. When the officers verbally engaged the patient, he physically assaulted and spit on them. After a brief struggle, the man was placed in restraints but he continued to spit on staff as they attempted to calm him down. The man was taken into custody under an Emergency Custody Order (ECO) and transferred to a local hospital for evaluation. No criminal charges were placed against the man.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 3400 block of Lake Street, 08/16/15 at 11:20 p.m. Officers were called for a report of a man looking into the window of a residence. Officers located the man exposing himself in public and arrested him. Fredy O. Palma Garcia, 36, of Falls Church, was charged with indecent exposure.

ROBBERY: McNair Farms near Masons Ferry Drive, 08/18/15 at about 9:18 p.m. A man was riding his bicycle and was struck by a vehicle. Two men exited the vehicle, assaulted the victim, took property and reentered the vehicle and fled. The victim did not require medical attention. The suspects were described as black males. One was approximately 6 feet tall, 180-200 pounds, wearing dark clothing and the second was between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches, approximately 160-180 pounds, wearing a white shirt.

BURGLARY OF AN OCCUPIED DWELLING: 9100 block of Furey Road, 08/17/15 at about 4:23 a.m. A resident awoke to a noise and saw a man run out of her bedroom. The suspect took property and fled. The victim was not physically injured. The suspect was described as a male of short stature and wearing black clothing.

SEX OFFENSE, Lee Jackson Memorial Highway near West Ox Road, 08/16/15 at about 12:41 a.m. The victim took a cab in Arlington, Virginia. The victim fell asleep and awoke to find the driver of the cab inappropriately touching her. The victim did not require medical attention. The suspect was described as Asian male, 50s, gray hair, wearing a dark-colored shirt, blue jeans and sandals.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 13100 block of Rounding Run Circle, 08/14/15. A resident reported an unknown person entered the residence. Nothing was taken.

ANIMAL WELFARE INVESTIGATION, 4700 block of West Ox Road, 08/17/15 at about 11:18 a.m. Animal Control Officers were called for a report of an animal welfare check. Officers found a dog in a locked car exposed to excessive temperatures. Stephanie Corbin, 38, of Culpepper was charged with mistreatment of an animal.
