Detectives Apprehend Bank Robbery Suspect
UPDATE – Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested
Following a joint investigation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Marshal’s Service, and our department’s Robbery detectives arrested a 21 year-old Fairfax County man.
Nathanael Blackmon, of Herndon, was charged with bank robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Blackmon was arrested the afternoon of Thursday, August 20, while detectives were investigating a bank robbery that occurred on Wednesday, August 19, at a BB&T Bank in the Reston Area.
Blackmon is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

BANK ROBBERY: 2500 block of Fox Mill Road, 08/19/15 at about 4:33 p.m. A man walked into a bank and announced a robbery. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money from the tellers. The suspect took cash and fled on foot. None of the victims required medical attention. The suspect is described as a light skinned male, 5 feet 5 inches tall, approximately 180 pounds, wearing a dark colored jump suit and black bandana over his face.
