Man Apprehended for Possessing a Weapon on School Property
A 32-year-old man was arrested after alert teachers at Oakton Elementary School reportedly saw a man armed with a knife wandering around a field, outside the school. Officers responded to the school, located at 3000 Chain Bridge Road, around 12:35 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, and located a blue, 2007 Toyota station wagon parked on the side of the road, behind the school. The vehicle was running but no one was inside it.
The officers located a man lying in the tall, grassy wood line, behind the school. A knife was also found. William James Przystup, 32, of 2955 Miller Heights Road in Oakton, was transported to the Adult Detention Center and charged with Possession of a Weapon on School Property. He was held without bond.
