SULLY DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 7000 block of Clifton Road, 09/12/15 at about 10:05 a.m. Officers were called to Clifton Elementary School for a school alarm. The suspects fled but were located some time later. Charges are pending for three 17-year-old male juveniles.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: 9400 block of Richmond Highway, reported on 09/10/15. The victim was walking along the path of Richmond Highway and was approached by two individuals. The suspects assaulted the victim, took cash and property and fled. The victim did not require medical attention. The suspects were described as one male and one female. The female suspect was approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and about 220 pounds. The male was approximately 6 feet 4 inches tall with a thin build. Both suspects were wearing masks and dark clothing. 

PERSON EXPERIENCING MENTAL CRISIS, 1200 block of Morning Side Lane, 09/12/15 at about 4:35 p.m. Officers were called for a report of a weapon complaint. The complainant communicated to dispatch that a man had a handgun and was walking around the neighborhood. The man was located and taken into custody under an Emergency Custody Order (ECO). There were no injuries during the incident. The adult male was transported to a local hospital for a mental evaluation.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2600 block of Arlington Drive, 09/13/15 at about 12:00 p.m. A resident reported an unknown woman entered the residence through an unsecured door. Nothing was taken.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

SEXUAL ASSAULT: 7400 block of Eastmoreland Road, on 09/10/15 at about 11:53 p.m. The victim was walking and was approached by man from behind. The suspects inappropriately touched her and fled. The victim did not require medical attention. The suspect was described as an Asian male, in his 20s, between 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, spiked black hair and wearing dark clothing and glasses.

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY, 1800 block of Metro Center Drive, 09/12/15. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property. 

BURGLARY, 11900 block of Escalante Court, 09/13/15. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property. The home is currently vacant and under reconstruction.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: 7300 block of Calamo Street, 09/11/15 at about 8:38 p.m. A family arrived home and parked in the driveway of their residence. Upon exiting their vehicle, a man approached, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect took property and fled in a gray sedan. The victims did not require medical attention. The suspect was described as black, tall and wearing a gray T-shirt and blue jeans.

ROBBERY: 6800 block of Loisdale Road, 09/11/15 at about 9:11 p.m. The victim was walking approaching the overpass from Loisdale Road to Backlick Road and was approached from behind by a man. The suspect placed a towel over the victim’s face which rendered him unconscious. Property and cash was taken. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

ROBBERY: 6900 block of Highland Street, 09/11/15 at about 9:54 p.m. The victim was walking and was approached by a man. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The suspect took property and fled in a gold, 4-door sedan. The victim did not sustain any physical injury. The suspect was described as a black or Hispanic male in his 20s, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, 165 pounds and wearing an orange and white shirt.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY OF AN OCCUPIED DWELLING: 8500 block of Kentford Drive, on 09/10/15 at about 4:12 a.m. A resident reported that a bedroom door that was previously closed, was opened when they awoke. A purse was taken from the residence. The suspect fled.

BURGLARY: 11000 block of Crevenna Oak Drive, on 09/10/15 at about 1:45 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

INDECENT EXPOSURE / ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT: Intersection of Hillside Road and Willowick Lane, 09/12/15 at about 9:16 p.m. A female was sitting in her car when a subject known to her began knocking on her window. The suspect was not wearing any clothes from the waist down. Responding officers arrested the man. While in custody the suspect spat on an officer and kicked out a cruiser window. The suspect is a 17 year-old juvenile and petitions will be obtained for destruction of property, indecent exposure, vehicle trespass and assault on a law enforcement officer.

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, Lee Jackson Memorial Highway/Metrotech Drive, 09/12/15 at about 6:45 p.m. The two victims were walking in the wooded area and were approached by three men. The suspects assaulted the victims and attempted to take their shoes. The victims resisted and were able to flee. The victims incurred non-life-threatening injuries. The suspects were described as black males between 18 and 20 years of age wearing dark hooded-sweatshirts.
