The Fair Oaks District Citizens Advisory Committee is holding their meeting September 29 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fair Oaks District Station. The presentation will be from the street crimes unit.
The Fairfax County Explorers will hold 1st nighter information sessions on how to become an Explorer. The upcoming dates and times are as follows:
TONIGHT–> * Post 1742: Wednesday September 23, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Stone Middle School, 5500 Sully Park Dr., Centreville, VA 20120.
* Post 2252: Wednesday September 30, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at West Potomac High School, 6500 Quander Road, Alexandria, VA 22307.
* Post 505: Thursday October 1, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at Woodson High School, 9525 Main Street, Fairfax, VA 22031.
Motor Carrier Safety Officers conducted a truck inspection in Reston at Foxmill Road / Fairfax County Parkway. 18 trucks were inspected, 8 were taken out of service, 20 out of service violations were issued, 13 summonses issued, and 52 total violations.
ROBBERY: 5700 block of Cedar Walk, 09/22/15 at about 1:00 a.m. The two victims had arrived in their vehicle and parked. The first victim exited the vehicle and was approached by two men. The subjects brandished a handgun and a knife and demanded money. The second victim remained in the vehicle and was approached by a third suspect who also demanded her property. The victim in the vehicle refused and all three suspects fled. The victims did not sustain any physical injury. Two juvenile suspects were located and taken into custody. Petitions will be obtained for robbery, wearing a mask in public, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

BURGLARY OF AN OCCUPIED DWELLING: 7300 Rhondda Drive, 09/22/15 about 12:04 p.m. A resident returned home and noticed her belongings were disturbed. A male suspect ran out of the home. The victim was not physically injured in the event. The suspect was described as a heavy set black male wearing a black hat.

VEHICLE TRESPASS: 7600 block of Lindside Place, 09/22/15 at about 3:28 a.m. A resident arrived home and saw two subjects rummaging through a family member’s vehicle. The suspects fled without taking property. The suspects were described as one white in his teens, between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, approximately 145 pounds and wearing a white shirt blue sports jacket and gray pants. The second suspect was described as a black male, in his teens, approximately 135 pounds, and wearing all black clothing and shoes.
