The Fair Oaks District Citizens Advisory Committee is holding their meeting September 29, at 7:00 p.m. at the Fair Oaks District Station. The street crimes unit will be giving a presentation.
The Fairfax County Explorers will hold first nighter information sessions on how to become an Explorer. The upcoming dates and times are as follows:

BURGLARY: 1800 block of Gilson Street, 09/28/15 at about 3:43 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person had entered the residence and took property.

ROBBERY: 6200 block of Seven Corners Center, 09/25/15 at about 10:03 p.m. The victim was walking through a parking lot and was approached by a man who brandished a knife and demanded her wallet. The victim threw her purse on the ground and ran away as the suspect took her property and ran a different direction. The victim sustained a minor injury and was treated at the scene. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, about 35 years of age, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall with black hair and a black mustache. He was wearing dark jeans, yellow button up shirt and sandals.
