The West Springfield District Citizens Advisory Committee is holding their meeting October 6, at 7:30 p.m. at the West Springfield District Station. The Mobile Crisis unit will give a presentation on their function in dealing with people experiencing mental crisis.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, Del Norte Court/Pole Road, 10/04/15 around 8:45 p.m. The victim was walking and was approached by two men in a vehicle. One of the men exited the vehicle and assaulted the victim in the upper body with a handgun. The suspects fled in a dark-colored vehicle. The victim incurred non-life-threatening injuries.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY: 8500 block of Richmond Highway, 10/02/15, around 9:50 a.m. An employee reported an unknown person entered a vacant home through an unsecured door. Nothing appears to have been taken.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY/DRUNK IN PUBLIC: Pole Road / Claremont Woods Drive, 10/03/15 at 4:15 p.m. A resident reported a man walking down the street damaging vehicles. An officer located the suspect who resisted arrest and assaulted the officer. Curtis Lewis, 33, no fixed address, was arrested and charged with two counts of destruction of property, drunk in public, resisting arrest and assault on law enforcement officer.

BURGLARY: 2700 block of Pioneer Lane, 10/03/15. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 7000 block of Woodley Lane, 10/03/15 around 12:39 a.m. A resident reported someone entered the residence through an unsecured door. Nothing was taken.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT/FOOT PURSUIT: 4100 block of Mesa Way, 10/02/15 at about 9:22 p.m. Officers responded to a residence for a report of a domestic violence. It was quickly established an assault had occurred and the suspect had fled the scene. After a brief foot pursuit and with the assistance of the K9 Team, the suspect was arrested. Ahmed Ali, 24, of Falls Church, was charged with assault on a family member and violation of a protective order.

BURGLARY: 11700 block of Olde English Drive, 10/02/15. Two residential burglaries were reported.

PEEPING, 6000 block of Hibbling Avenue, 10/01/15 around 6 a.m. A resident looked out the window and saw a man looking into the bathroom window of her residence. The suspect fled prior to police arrival. The suspect was described as a male of unknown race, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, wearing a black coat, black jeans and black sneakers.

BURGLARY OF AN OCCUPIED DWELLING: 8300 block of Epinard Court, 10/03/15, around 6:25 a.m. The victim observed a man standing in the stairs of the second floor of the residence. After verbally challenging him, the suspect fled. The suspect was described as a male of unknown race, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, 165 to 175 pounds and wearing a dark-colored hooded-sweatshirt and dark-colored pants.
BURGLARY: 7800 block of Sutter Lane, 10/03/15. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.
COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 8000 block of Alban Road, 10/04/15 at about 1:13 a.m. Two men entered the business, brandished guns and demanded money. The victim relinquished cash and the suspects fled in an unknown vehicle. The victim was not physically injured in the event. The suspects were described as black males. One suspect was in his mid to late 20s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, 165-175 pounds and wearing a dark-colored jacket and black pants. Suspect two was in his mid-late twenties, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, 165-170 pounds and wearing all black clothing.
