GENERAL INFORMATION

The Mason District Citizens Advisory Committee is holding their meeting tonight at 7:00 p.m. at the Mason District Station. The presentation will be on new initiatives in combating Domestic Violence.

The West Springfield District Citizens Advisory Committee is holding their meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the West Springfield District Station. The Mobile Crisis unit will give a presentation on their function in dealing with people experiencing mental crisis.

The Fair Oaks District Police Station at 12300 Lee Jackson Memorial Highway will be holding an Open House this Saturday from 11:00 – 4:00 p.m.

SULLY DISTRICT STATION

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY WITH APPREHENSION, 14100 block of Saint Germain Drive, 10/05/15 around 9:20 p.m. The victim was walking and was approached by a man. The man assaulted the victim and attempted to take property then fled. The suspect was located by responding officers. Mars jones, 20, of Centreville, was wanted and charged with petit larceny, two counts of failure to appear on a misdemeanor, and probation violation for a misdemeanor offense.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY WITH APPREHENSION, 7900 Woodpecker Way, 10/05/15, around 1:46 p.m. Officers were called for a report of a burglary in progress. The suspect fled but was located with assistance from the police helicopter and arrested. Cornelius A. Sniper, 28, of Alexandria, was charged with attempted burglary and trespassing. 

BURGLARY, 7900 block of Audubon Avenue, 10/05/15 at about 8:57 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION 

BURGLARY, 1700 block of Westwind Way, 10/05/15 at about 6:52 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

6800 block of Kincaid Avenue, cash from vehicle.

1700 block of Old Meadow Road, property from residence.

8400 block of Tyco Road, merchandise from business.

MASON DISTRICT STATION 

WARRANT SERVICE/ASSAULT ON POLICE OFFCIER: 5500 block of Seminary Road, 10/05/15 at about 10:40 p.m. Officers encountered a wanted subject and during the arrest, the suspect punched an officer in the face. Dejhon Jackson, 22, of Falls Church, was charged with assault on a law enforcement officer.

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

LARCENIES: 

7800 block of Heneska Loop, cash, phones and wallets from business.

6300 block of Manchester Way, license plate from vehicle.

STOLEN VEHICLES:

7600 block of Loisdale Road, 2013 Toyota Highlander.

FRAUD/LARCENY WITH APPREHENSION, 6500 block of Frontier Drive, 10/02/15 around 10:43 p.m. Officers were called to the Best Buy for a fraud in progress. Three men were detained and arrested. Michael Kusi Appouh, 22, of Alexandria, was charged with credit card larceny, two counts of obtaining money by false pretense and credit card fraud. Derick Agyenman Duah, 19, of Alexandria, was charged with obtaining money by larceny and credit card fraud. Raymond Asamoah, 26, of Alexandria, was charged with credit card larceny, larceny, and credit card fraud.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

RECKLESS DISCHARGE, 7700 block of Arlen Street, 10/05/15 around 11:15 p.m. Officers were called to a residence for a report of a weapon discharge. When they arrived, investigation revealed that a resident had discharged one round into the air. Alex Sesay, 38, of Annandale, was charged with discharging a firearm within 1000 feet of a school. 

BURGLARY: 7200 block of Linden Tree Lane, 10/05/15 at about 5:52 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

9000 block of Banyon Ridge Road, cash from vehicle.

8200 block of Bayberry Ridge Road, cash from vehicle.

STOLEN VEHICLES:

7900 block of Edinburgh Drive, 2002 Toyota Corolla.

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION 

PERSON EXPERIENCING MENTAL CRISIS/DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY, 10/05/15 around 11:16 a.m. Officers were called to The Kellar School for a report a juvenile acting violent towards staff and destroying property. Upon arrival, officers located an adult man yelling and holding a metal pipe-like object and swinging it against a wall. An officer displayed his electronic control weapon (ECW) and engaged the man in conversation. After careful speaking with the man, the officer managed to calm him and he complied with verbal commands. The man was taken under an emergency custody order (ECO) and transported to a hospital for a mental evaluation. There were no injuries during the incident.
