(Sept. 9, 2015)Join Us for the K-9 Krawl 5K; October 17
Join us for a free walk to help increase awareness between domestic violence and the link to animal cruelty on Saturday, October 17 at 9 a.m. at the Fairfax County Government Center.
The annual event is held during October in observance of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. It is sponsored by the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) Victim Services Section and the FCPD Domestic Violence Unit.
Dogs are welcome to walk along; but are not required.
In addition to the walk, there will be a variety of family-friendly activities:
- K-9 Unit Demonstration at 8:45 a.m.
- Pet Portraits ($10. Donation)
- Face Painting
- Goodie Bags
- Resource Tables
- Free Raffle
- Dog adoptions; a variety of Animal Shelter dogs will be present
- Lemonade Stand; local children will donate proceeds to children who have been impacted by domestic violence
