Bank Robbery Suspect Identified; National Manhunt Underway

Detectives have identified a suspect of the M & T Bank robbery on Saturday, October 31 as Randy Thompson, 29, of York, Pennsylvania.

Family members reported Thompson as missing to the Baltimore City Police Department on November 2. He was last seen in the 2100 block of North Charles Street on November 1.

Based on his mental status and recent circumstances in his life, Thompson was listed as “missing endangered.”

After following up numerous leads, detectives obtained a warrant for bank robbery on Thursday, November 5 in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Detectives believe that the suspect has assumed a new identity in another state and that he may be living under an unknown alias.

(10/31/15) Bank Robbery in Annandale Area- Police Seek Assistance Identifying Suspects

Officers responded for a report of a bank robbery at the M&T Bank located at 7857 Heritage Drive, on Saturday, October 31. Around 11:53 a.m., a man entered the bank, approached one of the tellers and passed a note demanding money. An undisclosed amount of cash was handed over and the suspect fled. The victim did not require medical attention. The suspect was described as a white male with brown hair wearing a brown-colored jacket.
