ARMED ROBBERY: 3200 block of Audubon Ave., 11/10/15, 6:26 a.m. 38-year-old, female victim reports she left her residence and was approached by a man in her driveway. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded that the victim hand over her purse. She did so and was not injured. The suspect fled on foot. He was described as black; about 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a skinny build. He was wearing a black ski mask and jacket.
NARCOTICS VIOLATION/ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER: 5991 North Kings Hwy @ Mount Eagle Park. 11/11/15, 6:45 p.m. Two officers were investigating a suspicious vehicle in the park. The odor of burning marijuana could be detected, coming from inside the car. The officers asked the two juvenile occupants; one male, one female, to exit the car. They did so and then became combative with the officers. The juveniles were taken into custody and transported to the Juvenile Intake facility where they were charged with assault on a law enforcement officer, possession of marijuana and obstruction of justice. Any injuries were minor and treated at the scene.
BURGLARY: 7900 block of Andris Ct. 11/11/15, 11:27 a.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and took property.

ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY: 7200 block of Maple Place. 11/10/15, 2:30 p.m. A man entered the Annandale Dollar and Gift store, displayed a handgun and demanded money. Something apparently spooked the suspect and he fled without any cash. There were no injuries. The suspect was described as black, 25-35 years old, 195-205 pounds. He was wearing a black ski mask, a black, hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY: 4900 block of Beauregard St. 11/11/15, 6:21 p.m. An officer stopped a suspicious person and found him to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, credit cards and electronics that had been stolen from vehicles in the area. The suspect, a 16-year-old male from Alexandria, was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property. This investigation is ongoing.
