Fugitives Arrested & Charged After Neighborhood Chase
Police charged two fugitives from Manassas who were wanted for outstanding charges in neighboring jurisdictions.
Ricardo Pena, 26, and Elisa Amato, 26 were charged with six felony charges, including grand larceny, providing false information to police, three felony drug charges, and possession of marijuana after they were apprehended on Tuesday, December 8 shortly after 7 a.m.
Initially, police were called for a report of someone breaking into a vehicle around 5:19 a.m. in the 9700 block of Thompson Run Court near Pinstripe Court. Responding officers saw the person flee and began an investigation. A man was seen running in the neighborhood; K-9 officers and the helicopter were summoned to the scene to assist with the search. After a short foot chase in the neighborhood, the two were apprehended and taken into custody. The subsequent investigation revealed that the people were both wanted in Prince William County and Loudoun County.
Loudoun County detectives are also following up with auto theft incidents that took place earlier in the week.
The investigation is continuing.
