My, how time flies! Over the weekend, we surpassed 50,000 Twitter followers. We sent our first Tweet on Monday, March 12, 2012, and have soared to great heights since. Ok, tired of the bird puns? We’re just delighted to share police-related news, stories and updates with you and receive positive and insightful feedback straight from our community members.
Now, why should Twitter get all the attention? Twitter has been an essential tool in getting out swift alerts, notifications and event coverage but we can’t neglect our loyal Facebook friends. The Fairfax County Police Department Facebook page kicked off in 2010, and to date, we have more than 28,000 friends and have reached more than 156,000 people. Oh, the countless moments we’ve shared…
We want to thank each and every one of you for your support, feedback and assistance on cases when we’ve needed it most. We look forward to continued partnerships with you and seeing our friends and followership grow. Follow us on Twitter or become our Facebook friend at:
