Police responded to the area of Aspen Drive and Wyres Street for a report of a robbery on Tuesday, February 2. Shortly before 9 p.m. officers met with the victim who indicated that he had met a man after communicating with him via the “OfferUp” application reference the sale of a cellular phone. Upon meeting, the man took the victim’s cell phone and cash from his hand and entered a four-door-sedan and fled.
Officers located the vehicle and a traffic stop was conducted. Three of the occupants were arrested. Marcus Robinson, 23, of Alexandria, was charged with Grand Larceny. Charges pending for the other suspects and case remains under investigation.
Detectives are investigating other similar cases throughout Fairfax County.
