Suspect in Custody; Charged With Murder

Dilshad Dosky, 20, of Tyrolean Way in Springfield, was charged with murder in connection with the stabbing death of Shaki E. Phillip. Detectives from the Homicide and Fugitive Squads, along with numerous additional department assets, worked diligently through the evening hours on Wednesday, February 10, to identify and apprehend the suspect at his home. The office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine official cause and manner of death.

(Original Release Date 2/10/16) Death Investigation in Springfield

Police responded for the report of a stabbing in the 7400 block of Loughboro Lane on Wednesday, February 10 shortly before 2 p.m. Officers located an unresponsive, 19-year-old male, with an apparent stab wound to the upper body. They initiated CPR until rescue arrived a short time later. The victim was ground transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The victim, Shaki Ezekiel Phillip, was pronounced dead a short time later.

Two male suspects, in their late teens, were seen leaving the scene. Detectives have reason to believe that this is not a random event.

The investigation continues.
