BLOG POST: Assault/Suspicious Vehicle in Alexandria Area
ROBBERY WITH APPREHENSION: 3100 block of Lockheed Blvd. 2/24/16, 6:39 p.m. A man and woman entered the CVS Pharmacy, purchased a pre-paid Visa card and left. They returned a short time later and claimed the card was defective. Believing this to be a scam, employees refused to take the card back. The suspects then attempted to access a cash register and a struggle ensued. One employee was assaulted and dropped her cell phone. The suspects were unable to take any cash, but they did leave with two cell phones. Officers were able to use an “App” to track one of the phones and make apprehension of one of the suspects. The investigation is ongoing.

STOLEN VEHICLES:
7800 block of Eagle Avenue, 2003 Cadillac Escalade
ROBBERY: 2800 block of Rogers Dr. 2/24/16, 2:15 p.m. An unknown male entered the business, approached a cashier, displayed a handgun and demanded money. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken and the suspect fled on foot. The cashier was not injured. The suspect was described as black, in his 50s, around 6 feet tall and about 175 pounds. He was wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt and gray pants.
