Robbery in Alexandria

Officers responded to the Rent-A-Center in the 6200 block of Little River Turnpike, on Monday, March 7 around 10:30 a.m. for the report of a robbery. A 23-year-old, female employee of the business, walked out to make a deposit; she was carrying a bank deposit bag. Once outside, she was confronted by a man who sprayed her in the face with some type of chemical, believed to be pepper spray. He demanded money as a second suspect also approached her. They grabbed the bank deposit bag, containing an undisclosed amount of money, and fled on foot, toward Little River Turnpike and Beauregard Street. The victim was treated on the scene by Fairfax County Fire and Rescue, for pepper spray exposure. The suspects were both described as black. The first suspect was about 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. The second suspect was balding and had a beard. He was wearing dark clothing.
