Crime Prevention Unit Hosts Worship Watch Seminar

Join the Fairfax County Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit for a Worship Watch seminar on April 09. The event will run from from 8:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church at 8304 Old Keene Mill Rd, Springfield, VA. This session’s topics of discussion are shown below:

The Crime Prevention Unit will be hosting two, 2-hour presentations. Each presentation will be held both at 8:00 a.m. and at 10:15 a.m.

  • Human Trafficking  – This presentation will help you understand the elements, signs and indicators of human trafficking. Human traffickers use force, fraud and/or coercion to control victims for labor and sex exploitation.
  • Lights, Locks and Landscaping for Houses of Worship– A detailed look at commercial lights, locks and landscaping as it applies to houses of worship. It will cover county lighting guidelines, best practices in “key control” procedures and the importance of landscaping for security.
