POSSESSION WITH THE INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE MARIJUANA / DUI: 5000 block of Westone Plaza, 04/16/16, 2:55 a.m. An officer observed a female driving a vehicle and stopped at a convenience store. The driver exited the vehicle, entered the store and re-entered her vehicle. Officers made contact with her and she was placed under arrest. Precious Monae Seegars, 24, of Centreville, was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and driving while under the influence.


STOLEN VEHICLE WITH APPREHENSION: Giant Oak Court / Sunset Ridge Road, 04/15/16, 12:17 a.m. Another jurisdiction informed Fairfax County units of a License Plate Reader (LPR) stolen vehicle hit and an alert police officer on patrol located it near Braddock Road and Union Mill Road. After confirming that the vehicle was stolen, officers followed the vehicle drive to the end of Giant Oak Court from Sunset Ridge Road. The occupants exited the vehicle attempting to flee. Officers with the assistance of a K-9 team apprehended the four occupants. A 16 year-old juvenile male was charged with Grand Larceny, Probation Violation and Drive without a License and a 17 year-old male juvenile was charged with Grand Larceny and Probation Violation. Case remains under investigation.

ROBBERY: Sausalito Place / Seven Woods Drive, 04/17/16, 9:49 p.m. The victim was walking and was approached by five men. The suspect assaulted the victim and took property, then fled. The victim did incurred non-life-threatening injuries. One suspect was described as black, 16 to 22 years old, 5 feet 10 to 6 feet 1 inches tall, and approximately 140 to 150 pounds. A second suspect was described as black, 16 to 22 years old, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 2 inches tall, and approximately 170 to 180 pounds. The suspects were either wearing black or white T-shirts and some may have had dreadlocks.

VEHICLE TRESPASS: 2800 block of Fort Drive, 04/14/16, 10 p.m. The victim’s vehicle was entered and rummaged through overnight. Nothing was taken.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY / DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: 3600 block of Robert E Lee Place, 04/17/16, 6:19 p.m. The property manager advised that a group of subjects had been hanging around in a few vacant apartments.  Some minor damage was found.

Bank Robbery in Idylwood Plaza – Police Seek Assistance Identifying the Suspect

RECKLESS DRIVING: Georgetown Pike/Towlston Road, 04/16/16, around 8:15 a.m. Police responded to a four-vehicle crash and charged one driver with reckless driving. An investigation determined a 65-year-old man was driving a 2007 Ferrari westbound on Georgetown Pike near Towlston Road. The driver crested a hill and discovered traffic stopped ahead for a vehicle waiting to make a left turn onto Towlston Road. The driver, attempting to avoid a rear-end collision, crossed over the double yellow line and collided head-on with a 2005 Acura RSX, driven by a 57-year-old Leesburg-area man; the Acura left the roadway and came to rest against a utility pole. The Ferrari continued forward and struck a 2008 BMW sedan in the westbound lane, driven by a 28-year-old Alexandria-area man, then struck the rear of an International Harvester TT flatbed unit that was towing a large construction vehicle, also in the westbound lane, driven by a 42-year-old man, of Fairfield, Pa.

The passenger in the Ferrari, a 36-year-old man, and the driver and passenger of the Acura, a 57-year-old man and woman, were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No one else required medical attention. The driver of the Ferrari, Josef Tosovsky, 65, of Washington, D.C., was issued a summons for reckless driving.

ROBBERY: 5800 block of Oakview Gardens Drive, 04/15/16, 3:50 a.m. The victim was walking on a sidewalk of an apartment complex and was approached by two black males.  The suspects pushed the victim to the ground, assaulted him, took property and fled on foot. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The suspects were described as black, 20 to 30 years old, approximately 180 to 200 pounds, and wearing dark clothing.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY: 3200 block of Wayne Road, 04/16/16, 2:16 p.m. A resident reported someone entered their home but nothing was taken.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY WITH APPREHENSION: 7300 block of Backlick Road, 04/17/16, 6:45 a.m. A resident reported that they observed a male leaving out of their basement door. Officers located the suspect and arrested him. Julio C Bacajol Canel, 22, Annandale, was charged with destruction of property and unlawful entry.


ROBBERY: 7702 Gunston Plaza, 04/17/16, 12:40 p.m. A man entered the KC Beauty Mart and demanded money from the cashier. The suspect took cash and fled. There were no injuries. The suspect was described as black, about 5 feet 10 to 5 feet 11 inches tall, approximately 180 pounds, with a scar on both sides of his face. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black and white sneakers.

BURGLARY: 5600 block of Sheldon Drive, 04/16/16, 8 p.m. A caretaker of the house reported someone entered the residence. It is unknown at this time if any property was taken. The investigation is ongoing.

ASSAULT: 6000 Rock Cliff Lane, 04/17/16, 8 p.m. A female victim was walking to her residence when she was approached by three men. The victim was assaulted and suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The first suspect was described as Hispanic, late 20s, 5 foot 8 inches tall, large build, medium length hair, mustache, and wearing a red T-shirt and blue jeans. The second suspect was described as Hispanic, early 30s, 5 feet 9 inches, medium/muscular build, short buzzed cut hair, clean shaven, and wearing a red T-shirt and blue jeans.  The third suspect was described as Hispanic, early 30s, 5 feet tall, large build, short hair, light colored hair on chin, and wearing a black T-shirt and black jeans.
