There will be a Community Engagement Meeting on Tuesday, April 26th at 7 p.m. at the Fair Oaks Police Station. We will honor the Officer of the Month for April, and our guest speaker will be Sarai Heath, the Victim Services Coordinator for Fair Oaks.
There will be a sobriety checkpoint this Friday, April 29 from 11:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. in the Sully Police District. Drive sober and stay safe.

WEEKEND CALLS FOR SERVICE SUMMARY

Reston District Officers conducted DWI Enforcement Patrol from 11 p.m. on Saturday, April 23 until 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning. 632 vehicles were screened at Route 286 northbound near N. Walnut Branch Road. The initiative resulted in one arrest for driving while intoxicated, one criminal violation, and three traffic summonses.
Home Invasion and Malicious Wounding, 13900 block of Woods Run Court, 04/22/16, 12:20 a.m. Four men entered a home and assaulted the victim. All four suspects fled on foot. An investigation determined that property was taken from the residence. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Three suspects were described as black males, mid-20’s, with their faces covered. One suspect was described as a male, race unknown, mid-20’s wearing a batman costume. Detectives are not ruling out a possible known relationship between the victim and suspects.

Animal Bite, 8600 block of Cross Chase Court. 04/22/16, 1:53 p.m. Animal Control Officers responded for an investigation of a dog bite report. Upon exiting his vehicle, an Animal Control Officer was bitten by a loose dog. Home owners were unavailable at the time and a dog walker was able to secure the dog inside the residence for quarantine.
