In January 2014, Colonel Edwin C. Roessler Jr., Chief of the Fairfax County Police Department began an effort to have the community surveyed by the Center for Evidence-Based Crime Policy at George Mason University (GMU). Chief Roessler commissioned this survey in order to understand how we can improve delivery of our essential police services within all of our communities and build upon our public trust.
Chief Roessler is grateful for the participation rate and is always welcoming feedback and input on our agency, as we serve and protect our community.
