GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

News Release: Detectives Seek Help Locating Missing Juveniles: Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 13-year-old girl, Facette “Daniel” Lema and a 14-year-old boy, Rudy Torzano, reported missing around 7 a.m. on Wednesday, May 11. Although detectives believe they are missing voluntarily, Lema is in need of medication which she did not take with her. The two were last seen shortly after 10 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10 at their respective homes in the Fairfax area. There is a possibility that the pair took a taxi-cab to the Jessup, Md., area.

Lema was last seen wearing jeans or black leggings, a T-shirt with a skull on it, and a black and red Star Wars jacket. Torzano’s clothing description is unknown.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY/ARREST: 8700 block of Richmond Highway, 05/10/16, around 10:26 a.m. Two men were arrested and charged with robbing an acquaintance. The victim, a 30-year-old man, was picked up in a vehicle by three acquaintances. In the vehicle, one suspect allegedly pointed a machete at the victim while the other two took an undisclosed amount of cash, then they forced the victim out of the vehicle and fled. Police responded to investigate. One suspect was located on foot nearby and taken into custody. An officer checking the area observed the suspect vehicle driving near the 9500 block of Richmond Highway. The officer initiated a traffic stop but the driver allegedly failed to pull over and a brief pursuit took place. The vehicle stopped on Hagel Circle and occupants fled on foot. One suspect was apprehended and determined to be involved in the robbery. Lance Jackson, 23, of Lorton, and Brandon M. Henry, 19, of Lorton, were transported to jail and both charged with robbery. The victim was treated for minor injuries at the scene. Investigation ongoing.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY: 7100 block of Oak Ridge Road, 05/06/16 between 3 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. Someone entered a home and stole property. Property was also taken from a vehicle parked outside. There were no signs of forced entry to either the home or vehicle.

STOLEN VEHICLES:

1500 block of Kings Valley Court, 2009 Ford Escape

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: 11100 block of South Lakes Drive. 05/11/16, around 3 a.m. Two men robbed a gas station employee, a 35-year-old man. The suspects entered the business, one allegedly displayed a gun and demanded money. They took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled. The suspects were described as black, in their 20s or 30s, between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall and 150 to 160 pounds. Both wore dark-colored clothing and their faces were covered. The victim did not require medical attention.

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

UNLAWFUL ENTRY/ARREST: 3000 block of Patrick Henry Drive, 05/10/16, around 7:27 a.m. Police arrested a woman after discovering her and a man hanging out in an apartment complex storage area. Officers were conducting a foot patrol in the area due to a similar previous incident. Helen Shiferaw, 23, of Falls Church, was taken to jail and charged with unlawful entry. The man fled from police; police are investigating.
