McLean Police District – Police are concerned for the welfare of a missing 53-year-old man with diminished cognitive abilities and seeking the public’s assistance in locating him. Byron Jeffrey Harris was with family in the 8100 block of Leesburg Pike, in the Tysons Corner area, around 5:20 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8 when he suddenly walked away.
Harris suffers from a brain injury and has been entered as a critical missing person. Police units, the helicopter and a K-9 bloodhound team responded and are conducting an extensive search of the area but believe he may have gotten onto a metro train or bus.
Harris goes by the name “Jeff” and is described as black, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 110 pounds. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeved gray and black polo-style shirt, light-colored jeans and black Nike sneakers. He walks with a slight limp.
