Update: Man who Robbed Elderly Woman Arrested


Franconia Police District – Detectives conducted a thorough investigation and identified the suspect of the robbery. A warrant for robbery was obtained on Friday, June 10, for Antonio Williamson, 20, of Woodbridge. Williamson was arrested yesterday in Prince William County where the warrant was served.

Detectives from the Franconia District are investigating a strong-arm robbery that occurred in the 6600 block of Loisdale Road. This morning around 10:16 a.m., an 89-year-old woman had just entered her vehicle and was approached by a man. The man assaulted her, grabbed her purse, and fled. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and did not require medical transport.

The suspect was described as black, approximately 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a muscular build. He had short black hair and was clean shaven. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a 2008-2012 Nissan Altima with a possible partial license plate of “2057.”
