Want to see the inside of a police station and how it works? Come join Reston District Police Station for their open house this Saturday, June 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be police cars, trucks, motorcycles, and several other displays. All are invited and we hope to see you there!
Join Sully Police District Saturday, June 18, from 1 to 4 p.m. at 4000 Stringfellow Road in Chantilly for Touch a Truck. Forget toy trucks and cars! Kids can get a close up look at the real thing! Climb, explore, and learn about your favorite cars and trucks on wheels! There will be also be live music, child fingerprinting, and MORE! Free parking at Chantilly High School.
We are partnered with the Fairfax County Communities of Trust in sponsoring Public Safety Day on Saturday, June 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Baileys Elementary School in the Mason District. Come out and enjoy a fun day with police, deputy sheriffs, and fire fighters while you eat, play, and have a great time! We hope to see you there!
Would you like to learn more about the Fairfax County Police Department and meet the men and women who serve? Join us as we host a three-hour forum on Saturday, June 18, from 1:30-4:30 p.m. at the Kings Park Library, located at 9000 Burke Lake Road in Burke, Virginia.
Attendees will be presented with an overview of the Fairfax County Police Department and will have the opportunity to gain insight into police policies and procedures. Other topics that will be covered are use of force, what to expect during traffic stops, and the everyday challenges that officers face.
There will also be an opportunity to learn more about FCPD’s full, ten week Citizens Police Academy, summer programs for high school students, and how to participate in station level Citizen Advisory Committees. ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: 7700 block of Richmond Hwy (Home Depot), 06/14/16, 1:32 p.m. The victim was in the parking lot of the business when a man approached him, implied he had a gun, and demanded money. The man fled on foot and officers responded; however, the suspect was not located. The victim was not injured and the suspect was described as black, mid-50’s, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, wearing a navy blue shirt and jeans.
