McLean Police District – Detectives from the Major Crimes Division, Sex Crimes Squad, received an anonymous tip through Fairfax County Crime Solvers, identifying a possible suspect in the assault that occurred at the Target store on Saturday, June 18. In addition, a Fairfax County police officer, not involved in this case, saw the photographs of the suspect and recognized a logo on his shirt. With that information and other investigative leads, detectives were able to identify the suspect as Brendon Jennings Cordova, 19, of Vienna. As a result of negotiations with Cordova’s attorney, he turned himself in at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on Thursday, June 23 at 8:30 a.m. He was charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery in connection with the assault at Target.
