Officers from the West Springfield District Station conducted DWI enforcement efforts from 6 p.m. until 4 a.m. Thirty-seven traffic stops were made resulting in 35 traffic summonses being issued. No arrest were made for DWI.
There will be a Sobriety checkpoint in the Sully District on Saturday, July 2nd from 11:30 p.m. until 2:30 a.m. Please drive sober!

LARCENY/HIT AND RUN/PURSUIT: 1961 Chain Bridge Road. 062716, 5:11 p.m. Victoria Secret Loss Prevention called police to report a theft from the store. They provided responding officers with a description of the suspects. Officers located and attempted to stop them as they got into a car, but the suspects fled; striking a parked car as they did so. A pursuit ensued and one man bailed out near International Drive and Route 123. The pursuit lasted slightly less than two miles and there were no reported injuries. Officers loss sight of the vehicle but obtained the tag number. They will investigate and attempt to positively identify and arrest the driver.

BURGLARY: 3200 block of Patrick Henry Dr., 06/27/16 9:30 a.m. A resident reported someone entered their residence. Nothing was taken.

BURGLARY: 12000 block of Highland crossing Dr., 06/26/16. A store owner reported someone entered their business and took property.

LARCENY: 8900 block of Burke Lake Rd., 06/27/16 11:16 a.m. A man entered a store, took property and disrobed while inside. Eric Roberts, 31, of Springfield was arrested and charged with larceny, trespass and indecent exposure.
