Update: Burglary Suspect Identified and Arrested For Multiple Cases


Franconia Police District – On Wednesday, August 3, police responded to the 5500 block of Sheldon Drive at around 4:02 a.m. for a report of a larceny. A resident heard a noise coming from the carport. The victim found a man inside of his vehicle rummaging through his property. The suspect fled and was apprehended by officers shortly thereafter. Kevin Neang, 20, of Alexandria was arrested and charged with petit larceny. Neang was charged with an additional count of petit larceny stemming from a prior case on Wednesday, July 20, from the same residence.

After further investigation, Neang was connected to two other cases involving burglaries in the area. He was identified as the suspect in a burglary and unlawful entry from July 28 in the 5500 block of Vincent Gate Terrace; and an unlawful entry at a home in the 5600 block of Harrington Falls Lane. Neang was charged with burglary and unlawful entry from those cases as well.
