ROBBERY: 7900 block of Richmond Hwy, 08/16/16, 7:18 p.m. A man was walking to his car when another man approached him from behind and assaulted him. The suspect took cash and property from the victim and fled. The suspect was described as black, approximately 6 feet tall, about 20 to 30 years old, wearing a gray baseball hat, black T-shirt, and blue jeans. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
ROBBERY: 8500 block of Southlawn Court, 08/17/16, 12:38 a.m. A man was walking when another man approached him and demanded cash. The suspect began to assault the victim, took cash and fled. The suspect was described as black, approximately 5 feet 8 inches, 180 pounds, wearing a black shirt and shorts. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

BURGLARY: 6300 block of Wingate Street, 08/16/16, 5:15 p.m. A resident reported someone entered through an unlocked door and took property. No suspect information.

BURGLARY: 2500 John Milton Drive, 08/16/16, 10:36 a.m. The owner reported that someone entered the business and took cash. No suspect information.

BURGLARY: 13500 block of McLearen Road, 08/16/16, 5:37 a.m. A store employee reported that someone forced entry into the business. Nothing was taken and there is no suspect information.

MALTREAT ANIMAL: 5700 block of Union Mill Rd, 08/16/16, 7:07 p.m. Animal Protection Police were called to a parking lot of a shopping center for two dogs left in a vehicle. Fairfax County Fire Department responded and determined the temperature inside the car to be around 116 degrees. The owner, Ashley Bogle, 27, of Fairfax, was charged with inadequate animal care. The dogs appeared to be unharmed.
