ALCOHOL ENFORCEMENT

There will be a sobriety checkpoint this Saturday, August 20, in the West Springfield District from 11:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Please drive sober and stay safe.

An alcohol enforcement operation was conducted in the Sully District last night. Two businesses were cited for illegal sale of alcohol to minors.

The Operations Support Bureau conducted a grant funded DUI last night. Ten summonses were issued.

SULLY DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY: 13000 block of Pennsboro Drive, 08/18/16, 10:30 a.m. Homeowner reported someone forced entry into the residence and took property and cash.

BURGLARY: 14000 block of Ridge Court, 08/18/16, 2:52 p.m. The homeowner reported that someone entered their residence and took cash.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

SEX OFFENSE: 2000 block of Old Stage Road, 08/18/16, 6:20 p.m.  A citizen reported that a man was sitting in a vehicle touching himself inappropriately.  The suspect drove alongside a school-aged child and asked the child for directions to a local middle school.  The suspect fled the area when the citizen walked up to check on the child.  No further information on the vehicle, direction of travel or the suspect.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: 6500 block Frontier Drive. 08/19/16, 10:25 a.m. Three women entered the Lens  Crafters and shoplifted 11 pairs of Versace sunglasses. They were initially detained by loss prevention but one of the suspects sprayed two employees with a chemical believed to be Mace or Pepper Spray. One employee was transported for decontamination. The suspects were described as black, 20-25 years old.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY: 7000 block of Donnybrook Court, 08/19/16, 3:18 p.m.  The homeowner reported someone entered her residence and took property. No suspect information.

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY: 4000 block of Majestic Lane, 08/18/16, 11:15 a.m.  Homeowner reported someone entered the residence and took property. No suspect information.
