Update: Additional Arrest Made in Connection with Teen Drug-Related Death in Centreville
After a lengthy investigation, detectives from the Major Crimes Division and Organized Crime Narcotics Division have made an additional arrest in the March 1 death of 17-year-old Alexia Springer, a resident of Centreville.
An investigation determined that David Evers, 18, of Centreville, who was arrested on May 19 and pled guilty on Monday, September 12, in connection with this case was linked to another man who allegedly supplied narcotics. A multi-jurisdictional Grand Jury indictment was issued, and that man, Daniel Armando Urrego, 19, of Manassas, was charged with manufacturing, selling, giving, distributing, or possessing with intent to manufacture, sell, give, or distribute a controlled substance or an imitation controlled substance. On Tuesday, September 13, detectives from the Fairfax County Fugitive Task Force arrested Urrego in Manassas, and transported him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
