Two Connected Residential Robberies in Burke

West Springfield Police District – Major Crimes Division detectives are investigating two related residential robberies in which the victims, who were acquaintances, were targeted. The robberies occurred in the 6300 block of Birch Leaf Court and in the 6300 block of Fenestra Court on Friday, September 23. Shortly before 2 a.m., four armed suspects forced their way into the Birch Leaf Court residence. The suspects took property and assaulted a 28-year-old man with a machete. The suspects then fled. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Shortly thereafter, it is believed that the same four suspects forced their way into the Fenestra Court residence. The suspects assaulted a 62-year-old man with a machete. The suspects fled on foot to a waiting vehicle. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Three of the suspects were described as Hispanic, in their 20s, around 5 feet 6 inches tall, and weighing approximately 160 pounds. The fourth suspect was described as black, light-skinned, in his 20s, around 6 feet tall, and weighing approximately 200 pounds. Each suspect was wearing all black clothing with their faces covered.

Detectives do not believe that there is a greater threat to public safety.
