RESTON DISTRICT STATION

ASSAULT/ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT/OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE/ARREST: 11300 block of Reston Station Blvd (Metro Kiss and Ride), 11/28/16, 11:23 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a man assaulting a bus driver and a Metro Security Officer. Officers attempted to stop the assault and the suspect ignored their commands. Officers attempted to gain control of the suspect and he began to assault them and inflicted bite marks on the officers. Sameer Jaspal, 31, of Albany, NY, was arrested, taken to the adult detention center, and charged with two counts of assault and battery, assault on law enforcement, and obstruction of justice.

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 11100 block of South Lakes Drive (Sunoco), 11/28/16, 8 p.m. A man walked into the gas station, displayed a handgun, and demanded cash. He fled on foot towards the rear of the gas station. The victim did not require medical attention. The suspect was described as black, around 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, wearing a dark, hooded jacket, scarf and white gloves.
