Detectives Investigate Shooting in Annandale
West Springfield District Police Station – Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 7500 block of Davian Drive, around 5:16 p.m. Initial investigation determined an altercation occurred outside of the residence between parties that are known to each other.
During the incident a 19-year-old and a 20-year-old woman were shot. They were found a short distance away and were taken to a local hospital. Their injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening and both are currently in stable condition. Additionally, a teenage female was injured during the fight and taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A fourth woman suffered from a medical emergency and was also treated for a non-life-threatening condition.
All parties were accounted for and Major Crimes and Crime Scene detectives responded. Detectives have collected the firearm and do not believe there is any threat to public safety. The investigation is ongoing and there are no further details.
