MASON DISTRICT STATION

TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO ARREST: 6300 block of Little River Turnpike. 12/7/16, 11:10 p.m. An officer stopped a car for an equipment violation. As he was speaking to the driver, one of the passengers in the car got out and ran away. Additional officers set up a perimeter and K9 arrived to assist. The man that ran away was found a short time later. The driver, the man that ran away and another passenger in the car were arrested. Various property that is suspected of being stolen, was found in the car. A handgun and assorted drugs were also found in the car. More specific information is being withheld at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
