RESTON DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY / POSSESSION OF BURGLARIOUS TOOLS: 11800 block of Sunset Hills Road (Carlton House), 12/19/16, around 8:53 p.m. An employee of the Carlton House reported that a man had broken into the building. Officers located a suspect who was identified as Michael Jesse McLong, 28, of no fixed address. McLong was arrested, taken to the Adult Detention Center, and charged with burglary and possession of burglarious tools.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

WEAPONS DISCHARGE / ASSAULT: 9900 block of Richmond Highway, 12/20/16, around 4:30 p.m. A verbal argument and physical altercation occurred between two men. The suspect then retrieved a handgun and allegedly fired towards the victim’s vehicle and fled. James Aldridge, 27, of Washington, D.C. was arrested and charged with felony destruction of property, carrying a concealed weapon, reckless discharge of a firearm and assault.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: 9500 block of Hagel Circle, 12/20/16, around 7:30 p.m. The victim was walking when he was struck from behind and fell. Two men took property and ran off. The victim did not require medical attention. The suspects were described as black and between the ages of 18 to 20 years old.

PEEPING: 5400 Danville Street, 12/20/16, around 4:30 a.m. Police responded for a report of a peeping. A woman reported, while in her home, she noticed a man looking into the window. He ran away before police arrived. The suspect was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and was about 5 feet 8 inches tall.
