MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: 8300 block of Richmond Highway, 1/17/17, around 10:30 p.m. A 56-year-old man was walking down the street when three men assaulted him from behind. They demanded his wallet and continued to assault him, but he managed to break free and run away. The suspects ran off. They were described as black, around 18 to 19 years old, wearing dark clothes. The victim did not require medical attention.

RESTON DISTRICT STATION

UPDATE: Suspect Identified in Double Shooting/Barricade

MISSILE INTO OCCUPIED DWELLING: 2400 block of Clover Field Circle. 1/17/17 4:10 p.m.A homeowner was standing in the kitchen of her townhouse, which backs up to Fox Mill Road.  She heard a loud noise and found a bullet that had been fired through a kitchen window. She was not injured. Responding officers checked the area and conducted a canvass. Witnesses indicated they heard a loud noise similar to a gunshot around the same time.
