MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

Arlington County School Teacher Arrested for Indecent Exposure

CREDIT CARD FRAUD/ARREST: 1700 block of Chain Bridge Road (Tysons II), 1/26/17, around 3:20 p.m. Officers responded to a business for suspicious activity. A store employee advised that two men had made large purchases with multiple credit cards, some of which had been declined. Both suspects had left the store, but officers outside of the mall were able to stop them. An initial investigation found the suspects had over 30 fraudulent cards in their possession and thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise. Xuwen Han, 31, and Benpeng Yuan, 20, both from California, were arrested, taken to the Adult Detention Center and charged with eight counts of credit card fraud and two counts of larceny by false pretense.

Fairfax Station Single-Vehicle Crash Results in Fatality

LARCENIES:

9400 block of Candleberry Court, bag from residence

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY/ARREST: 13600 block of Frying Pan Road, 1/26/17, around 8:15 p.m. Police responded to the report of an attempted armed robbery. A 26-year-old woman was helping at a shelter when a man approached her, displayed a knife and demanded her jewelry. She refused and the suspect ran out of the building. The suspect was known to some of the other shelter workers and officers responded to the magistrate and obtained a warrant. Later in the evening, Andreus Magruder, 43, of no fixed address, was located, taken to the Adult Detention Center and charged with attempted robbery. (no mugshot available at this time)
