MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY OF OCCUPIED DWELLING: 1500 Chain Bridge Court, 3/1/17, around 4:45 p.m. A 13-year-old teen was asleep in his home when he heard someone inside. He saw a man downstairs and the teen ran out of the house. We responded and did not locate the suspect. He was described as white, with dark hair and medium complexion, wearing black pants, a light blue zip-up sweatshirt and white Nike shoes.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY/ARREST: 6100 block of Arlington Boulevard (McDonalds), 3/1/17, around 9:20 p.m. A 54-year-old man was inside the business and reported that another man was harassing him. He told the suspect to stop; but, the suspect punched him and took his briefcase. The suspect ran out of the business and a witness stopped him. Officers arrived and took Kenneth Smith, 28, of Falls Church was arrested, taken to the Adult Detention Center and charged with robbery.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

FALSE PRETENSE/COUNTERFEIT CURRENCY/ARREST: 6000 block of Burke Commons Road (WalMart), 3/1/17, around 11:30 p.m. An 18-year-old male arranged to meet a man and sell some shoes. The suspect gave the victim the agreed upon money and left the area. The victim did not believe the money was real and went inside the business and inquired; whereby he learned the money was fake. Responding officers made a traffic stop (unrelated) and saw the passenger matched the description for the suspect in the previous event. The victim positively identified the passenger as the suspect. Brandon Dooley, 28, of Baltimore, was arrested, taken to the Adult Detention Center and charged with obtaining money by false pretense and possessing counterfeit currency.
