WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: Little River Turnpike/Medford Drive, 3/30/17, around 11 a.m. A 20-year-old man was walking when he was approached by two men. One suspect displayed a knife and demanded money. The victim fled uninjured. The first suspect was described as black, approximately 13 to 16 years old, around 5 feet 5 inches tall, with shaved short black hair. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt. The second suspect was black, over 5 feet 7 inches tall and approximately 110 to 120 pounds. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.

BURGLARY OF AN OCCUPIED DWELLING: 4700 block of Americana Drive, 3/30/17, around 7 a.m. A resident reported a man entered his apartment. The victim fled and called police. Officers responded and determined that the suspect had taken property and left. The victim was not injured. The suspect was described as Hispanic, approximately 5 feet 5 inches, and around 120 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket, dark pants, and a mask. The investigation is ongoing.
