UPDATE: Bank Robbery Suspect Apprehended

Mason Police District – During the late evening hours of Friday, April 21, detectives located the suspect believed to be responsible for the robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank located at 4260 John Marr Drive on Tuesday, April 18.

Detectives found 57-year-old, Kevin George Costello, of the 6800 block of Crossman Street in Annandale, at a hotel in the 6200 block of Duke Street in the City of Alexandria. He was taken to the Adult Detention Center where a warrant was served, charging Costello with bank robbery.

(4/18/17) Wells Fargo Bank Robbed in Annandale

Mason Police District – Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man who robbed the Wells Fargo Bank located at 4260 John Marr Drive just before 1:30 Today.

A man walked into the bank, implied that he had a weapon and announced a robbery. A bank employee handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect left the bank. There were no injuries.

The suspect was described as white, about 6 feet 2 inches tall and around 180 pounds. He was wearing a light-colored sport coat, dress slacks, a light-colored shirt under the coat, a blue baseball cap with writing on the front, and eye glasses.
