Suspect Arrested Within Minutes of Bank Robbery

Mason Police District – Around 11 a.m. yesterday, May 25, officers arrested a man who attempted to rob a BB&T Bank. Police were called to 6120 Arlington Boulevard, in Falls Church, after the suspect passed a note to employees demanding money. He fled before receiving any cash.

Officers quickly saturated the area and saw him nearby. He attempted to flee, but was apprehended. An investigation determined the suspect also attempted to rob a Capital One Bank in Falls Church on May 15 (https://fcpdnews.wordpress.com/2017/05/16/bank-robbery-in-falls-church-2/). Montrell Richardson, 41, of Annandale, was transported to the Adult Detention Center, and charged with two counts of attempted robbery. No victims were injured in either incident.
