MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY: 9400 block of Lee Highway. 7/10/17, 10:54 a.m. A man entered an apartment and took computer equipment. He was described as black, around 6 feet tall, with a muscular build. He had short, dark hair and a mustache. He was wearing a green jacket and carried a black backpack.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 2700 block of Dorr Avenue. 7/8/17 – 7/10/17. Someone broke into Mr. Tire between Saturday, July 8 and Monday, July 10. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the register and no suspect information is available. The investigation continues.

MASON DISTRICT STATION

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY/ARREST: 4500 block of Fairway Downs Court. 7/10/17 around 4:15 p.m. A teenaged-boy approached a man and demanded his car keys. When the man refused, the suspect displayed a weapon. The man ran into a building and called police. Officers located the suspect nearby and he was arrested and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center. He was charged with attempted robbery.

2300 block of Birch Run Circle, 2004 Mercury

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY/ARREST: 5600 block of Earlehurst Street (North Springfield Swim Club). 7/10/17 around 2:55 a.m. Officers responded for a report of a burglary and found several people on the property. The suspects took off running. Yahye Hassan, 22, of Vienna, was arrested for burglary and transported to the Adult Detention Center.
