BURGLARY: 14200 block of Glade Spring Dr. 7/19/17, 5:22. A homeowner reported that someone came into his unlocked garage and took property. There is no suspect information.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY: 8100 block of Norwood Dr. 7/19/17, 4:19 p.m. The homeowner reported that he came home and discovered that someone had entered his home and that several guns had been stolen.There is no suspect description.

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY WITH APPREHENSION: 2900 block of Pine Spring Road. 7/19/17, 5:56 p.m. A man came home and was unable to open his front door. He looked through the mail slot and saw several men he did not know, inside his home. When the intruders realized the victim was there, they fled out the back door. The victim caught one of the suspects, which prompted the rest of the men to come back and assault the victim in order to get him to release their friend. Officers arrived and were able to take three of the suspects into custody. They were all juveniles and they were taken to the Juvenile Detention Center and will be charged with burglary and assault by mob. The investigation continues and additional arrests and charges are possible.
