UPDATE: Detectives Release Sketch of Suspect in Abduction and Attempted Sexual Assault in Reston

Reston Police District – Detectives have released a sketch and additional description of the man thought to be responsible for the abduction, and attempted sexual assault of a 22-year-old woman, Monday. Detectives have canvassed the area and the investigation into this case will be ongoing.

Abduction and Attempted Sexual Assault in Reston

Reston District- We are investigating after a 22-year-old woman was walking around 2:30 this afternoon in Reston, when an unknown man approached her from behind, and dragged her into the nearby woods. The woman was walking on the sidewalk in the 12000 block of North Shore Drive. Once in the woods the suspect tried to remove the victim’s clothing, but then left suddenly. The suspect was last seen in a grey or silver Hyundai fleeing the area. The tag of the Hyundai is thought to begin with the letter, “V.” Officers and detectives are on-scene investigating.

A look out for the suspect has been given and describes the suspect as follows: A Hispanic male, late 20’s to early 30’s, brown hair, and a full beard. The suspect was said to be wearing a gray shirt with red letters, shorts, and a red baseball cap.
